If I had my way the rating for Specsavers Golden Island Athlone a BIG MINUS A BILLION the way they have treated customers and are still getting Away with this sort of Bullying of US Customers Their is NoPoint in speaking to the so called Manager as “she” just denies Everything and talks OVER YOU ( she never heard that the customer is always Wright) No One seems to be in Charge and you cannot contact any of the so-called Directors of this so-called Specsavers as every Specsavers are ALL INDEPENDENT OF EACH OTHER WITH NO PRICING STRUCTURE or A CONTACT EMAIL or PHONE NUMBER I PHONED THEIR OFFICES IN JERSEY UK WITH NO OUTCOME They told me that thy have NO EMAIL ADDRESS or a COMPLAINTS DEPT AND THAT I WOULD HAVE TO WRITE TO SPECSAVERS GUERNENSY UK BUT WHEN I PHONED UP SPECSAVERS UK HEAD OFFICE AND ASKED TO SPEAK TO CUSTOMER CARE THEIR WASNT ONE ONLY A SHOP LIKE SPECSAVERS GOLDEN ISLAND AND THEY DIDNT KNOW OF ANY CUSTOMER CARE DEPT WITHEN SPECSAVERS UK or IRL Well this is my story I have been using Specsavers in Athlone for years now and spending buckets of money on Frames etc So last November 27th 2022 I needed my eyes tested after two years appointment at 10.30am I arrived just after 10.00am and shown to the seating area where I was left until 11.25 am where I was brought into a “ cubbyhole “ for eye tests now on this cubbyhole the door could not be closed no privacy Anyway after been sent to the seated area a few times I eventually got my eyes tested I asked for exactly what I got two years ago regarding the Lenses on my SW Stamps which is FREE Then I was brought out to the public area and was told it would take Five Days or less and that I would be texted as soon as the lenses were in my frames I had Sux frames to get replacement lenses in so the girl have a BILL for over €249.90 for Two Lenses which I disagreed with the price when was rectifying to €24.12 for the two frames I just put this down to a mistake at the time Since then I have been waiting to get my of glasses with new LINSES which are paid for but no such luck I never got a text stating I could pick up my frames and I went in again yesterday 3rd December 2024 to get some answers from the Manager but wouldn’t talk as “ the system is down” she told me I told her that this IS NOT ACCEPTABLE and I was told that this is out of her hands I tried to remind her that I got my eyes tested last November and was told that I would have my frames with the new LINSES withen Five working days And been overcharged in the Process Then the manager got into her Denial Mode and contradicted ME in every Statement I made she the manager TOLD ME to be QUIET or I WOULD HAVE TO LEAVE she DOSENT listen as she is too BUSY TRYING TO TALK OVER ME AND DENYING WHAT HAPPENED stating that “ you didn’t hear what she said “ “ you got that wrong “ “ that’s not what happened “ I could go on for hours She the manager told me that she would text me when she got my file !!!!! IT IS THURSDAY AND NO TEXT OR ANY COMMUNICATION FROM SPECSAVERS ATHLONE SO I DO HOPE YOUR NOT IN A RUSH IF YOU EVER USE SPECSAVERS ATHLONE NOT THANKING ABOUT THE EMBEZZLEMENT OF OVER TWO HUNDRED EUROS OF MY MONEY

I had to make a emergency call to specsavers Athlone due to a stuck contact lens. They gave me an appointment immediately. The Optician Lynette examined my eye thoroughly. The lens had come out but was left with a scrached sclera, she prescribed hydroforte drops to help heal my eye and keep it lubricated. I would like to say a big thank you. I was very impressed with the service i received.
